For the “Generazione spontanea” (Spontaneous Generation) Visual Arts section, curated by Agata Polizzi with the Fondazione Merz, artists Francesco De Grandi and Michele Guido have been asked to make an emotional archive of the work produced during the forced confinement due to the pandemic available to the public: these are images, writings, drawings, thoughts born from an almost scientific observation of the creative generation of that particular period. The artists will confront themselves directly with the public, thanks to close meetings, a sort of “speakeasy”, which will become an opportunity for exchange and further research.
The ultimate goal of the project is that all these experiences (artistic and of shared meetings) will come together in a publication, what amounts to a travel diary.
