Second event of Barca Solare. Ascolti del Mediterraneo, the series of musical events presented by the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra in collaboration with Fondazione Merz and supported by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo

The concert Oriente features the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino and pianist Emanuele Arciuli, conducted by Giampaolo Pretto.
From the score On Reminiscence by the Turkish composer Füsun Köksal, winner of the fourth edition of the Mario Merz Prize, we move on to the dialogue between piano and orchestra of Ildebrando Pizzetti’s Canti della stagione alta, concluding with the famous piece Danze di Galánta by Zoltán Kodály, which sees popular music intersect with the European classical tradition.
